Learn how to turn your backyard or small acreage (less than 10 acres) into a sustainable, small farm. Join Clemson Extension experts for this 5-week course where participants will discover how to grow fruits and vegetables, start a backyard poultry flock and beekeeping basics.  Plus, learn about composting with black solider fly larvae, soil preparation for your garden and take a field trip to a local farm.

Course Schedule:
October 16- Small Fruits and Vegetable Production
October 23- Livestock (Chickens, Pigs, Goats & Sheep)
October 30- Composting with Black Solider Fly Larvae and Garden Soil Basics
November 6- Beekeeping
November 13- Fieldtrip Johns Island to visit small, thriving farms
