It’s a beautiful way to spend the afternoon.

We have great things planned for you. Like live music. Fantastic food from local favorites Roti Rolls and Short Grain. Classes and Q&A with Clemson Master Gardeners. Wine and craft beer, lake activities, kids’ fun & games and more. Watch master gardeners at work in our community gardens—then find treasures for your own from Stacks Nursery, at our plant and flower sale. It’s how we celebrate spring at Summers Corner.

Make sure to stop by and say hi to Sand Hill Elementary’s new principal, Dr. Wally Baird. He’ll be here from 2-4pm, welcoming future students and their parents, and talking about his vision for the school.

11 AM & 2 PM

“Growing & Cooking with Herbs” Class
Learn how to grow your own herbs and spices, and sample recipes at this interactive class. Master Gardener Sara C. Davis will also demonstrate how to make a simple, herb garden-inspired gift. Seating is limited, advance online registration is suggested.

11 - 3 PM (on the hour)

Canoe and Kayak Excursions at Buffalo Lake
Join Nature Adventures Outfitters on hourly “mini excursions” on Buffalo Lake. Instruction will be available for beginners, and experienced paddlers are welcome to bring their own equipment (fishing poles, too!). First group launches at 11 a.m., last group launches at 3 p.m.

11 AM & 1 PM

Yoga for Kids
Kids will learn basic yoga poses in this fun (and relaxing!) outdoor class led by the Summerville YMCA.
No equipment necessary.

2 PM - 4 PM

Meet Sand Hill Elementary Principal Wally Baird
Help us welcome Dr. Wally Baird to the neighborhood. Dr. Baird is in his 19th year of education, and leads with a “kids first” focus—we’re sure you’ll love his enthusiasm for our new school as much as we do!
