Summers Corner Spring 2020
Oh, what a Spring we are having! Our vibrant Summers Corner neighborhood is always buzzing with activity, giving both homeowners and residents of Summerville and other Charleston suburbs an opportunity to experience the exceptional feel of our community. With times being as they are now, we’re on a bit of a hold for our events but looking forward to when we can be up and running again soon. We’re also SO very excited to finally greet all of our “Virtual Home Buyers” who have joined us virtually these last few weeks. Can’t wait to sit down with you in The Commons with a glass of sweet tea and chat about all that Summers Corner has to offer.
We look forward to hosting man community events in the near future. Here’s a glimpse at what’s in store.
Second Sunday Music Festival
As its name suggests, on the second Sunday of each month, we let local musicians take the stage at Summers Corner. Our new music series will feature local singer and songwriter talents once monthly, with musicians across all genres. You can find us under the sails of The Commons courtyard, where we’ll relax to this live entertainment while also enjoying brunch and cocktails. As the series rolls out, we’ll share all of our favorite musical sounds, whether that’s country, jazz, bluegrass, or alternative. Our Second Sunday Music Festival is family-friendly, and we welcome you to bring your whole crew! We will share our artist schedule as soon as we are able.
Summers Corner Farmers Market
The arrival of our warmer temperatures means we can soon enjoy the bounty of fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers that are farmed not too far from Summers Corner. We invite farmers, makers, and artisans out as vendors at our very own community farmers market. Join us to shop and gather on the last Thursday of the month, and also enjoy live music, food trucks, kids activities and much more. Our hopes are to begin again on May 28, but we will keep everyone informed as soon as we know all is well.
Summers Corner Performing Arts Center
There aren’t too many communities who can boast about their very-own Performing Arts Center, but we can! We are proud and excited to boast about the Summers Corner Performing Arts Center, meant for both residents and non-residents of all ages to enjoy theater, music, and so much more. Our grand opening saw a wonderful presentation of Seussical, The Musical, and we will soon share the rest of our calendar of events. Stay tuned!
